Being a Titus 2 Woman - Introduction and Giveaway

I just finished reading the book Feminine Appeal, thanks to Crossway Books, and I am amazed at the great biblical wisdom in the pages of this book. The book is written by Carolyn Mahaney (Of the girl talk blog) and is about 7 virtues of a Godly Wife and Mother, based on Titus 2:3-5.

This book takes Titus 2:3-5 and virtue by virtue discusses the importance of fleshing each one out in our lives everyday. Carolyn writes in such a way that it truly feels like an "older woman" teaching you as each page turns, in a very friendly and personable way.

This book is filled with way too much wisdom to just share in one post. Therefore, I will be starting (On Monday, July 13th) a series, titled Being a Titus 2 Woman, based on this book. Each day we will look at one of the 7 virtues from Titus 2, including quotes and other thoughts from the book and from me. In the opening chapter, Transformed by Titus 2, Carolyn Mahaney says (pg. 28),

The seven feminine virtues we will consider in this book are not an end in themselves. They point to the transforming effect of the gospel in the lives of women - women who have turned from their sins and trusted in the Savior, women whose sins have been forgiven and whose hearts have been changed.

This book is not about being the "perfect wife" or "perfect mother" it is all about Jesus working in our lives and transforming us to be more like Him. We cannot live out these virtues without Christ, it can only be done with Him! Once we trust in Him fully, He can began to work in us and these virtues will start to show.

2. You do not have to have a blog to enter. However, you do need to include your e-mail address so that I can contact you if you win.

3. Comments will be accepted as entries from July 11th at 12:01 am ET until July 22nd at 11:59 pm ET on Being a Titus 2 Woman posts. Each comment will receive a number according to the order received and the winners will be picked using the Random Integer Generator.
